Lueftner
Cruises is proud to announce the debut of a
new flagship for its
innovative AMADEUS fleet, namely the MS AMADEUS
Elegant, in April 2010. This distinctive river
cruiser is
currently being built in the famous "De Hoop" shipyard
located in Lobith, the Netherlands, from which
Austria's long-established Lueftner shipping line
has launched
no fewer than seven other vessels since 1997.
The AMADEUS Elegant - The name says it all!
The AMADEUS Elegant will certainly live up to its promise:
identical to her AMADEUS Diamond sister ship in construction,
with the famous pointed bow, and measuring 110 m in length
and 11.4 m in breadth the new flagship will fit in perfectly
with the traditional elegance of the majestic AMADEUS
fleet.
The
vessel will accommodate up to 150 passengers in its
extremely comfortable 68 cabins and 8 Amadeus suites.
A crew about forty strong will be on hand to meet
their
every wish in an atmosphere of total relaxation.
The bright, modern and inviting standard cabins have
a
floor area of 15 m² (161 sq.ft.), giving passengers
a space of their own with all the accoutrements and
pleasant touches of an ocean-going cruise liner.
The
stylishly furnished interiors include flat-screen TV,
mini-bar, and designer bathroom accessories - matching
the most modern hotel standards - with 80% of the
cabins
having magnificent panoramic windows and French balconies.
All this naturally applies to the eight suites on
the Mozart deck, whose occupants have a veritable oasis
of even greater luxury with a spacious floor area of
22
m² (236 sq.ft.).
The elegance extends seamlessly into the public areas,
especially to the restaurant and the Panorama Bar. Sportingly
inclined passengers can take some exercise in the fitness
studio or on the putting green, while those seeking health
and beauty treatments will be made welcome in the Vital
Club or the beauty salon.
A
spell on the enormous sun deck, which is easily reached
by a lift from all decks, offers people the chance
to improve their suntans. Alternatively the AMADEUS
Club provides a quiet place to relax with a good book,
or
there is the Internet café from which to report
back to family and friends on the exciting experiences
and captivating scenery enjoyed during the cruise.
The flagship's
maiden voyage in May 2010 will be the 15-day cruise "Across Europe" from
Amsterdam to Budapest, calling at Vienna and Bratislava.
