Cézanne was built in 1993 and refurbished in 2003. The
deluxe vessel can accommodate 100 passengers in 50 cabins. Original
works of art can be found throughout. All cabins are beautifully
furnished and feature full length window for upper deck cabins
or 3 large portholes for all lower deck cabins. Built-in closets,
desk, shower and toilet, telephone, audio entertainment center
and color TV are in each cabin. Hairdryer and terry robes are
available upon request. Bedding is European style duvets with
feather pillows and eiderdowns (synthetic materials available
upon request).
The
vessel features six meals daily (Breakfast, Morning Bouillon,
Lunch, Afternoon Tea, Dinner and Midnight Snack). All meals are
single seating with evening meals up to nine courses on selected
nights. Additionally, there is a lounge, bar, gift shop, beauty
salon, library, laundry, safe deposit boxes as well as an infirmary
with a qualified doctor on board. The Sun deck offers plenty of
deck chairs and blankets, if needed. There are also conference
facilities on board. Captain's Welcome and Captain's Farewell
Receptions are provided as well as nightly entertainment and dancing.
There is one crew member for every 2.5 passengers providing about
the best crew to passenger ratio or any river vessel. This allows
for a high level of service as well as sumptuous meals, served
course by course for the evening dinner. English language announcements,
menus and daily programs are provided.
All cabins and public rooms on board are fully air-conditioned.
There is one bar in the lounge on the Rhone-Deck. Depending on
favorable weather conditions drinks are also served on the Sun-Deck.
Please note, that passengers are asked to refrain from bringing
alcoholic beverages on board for consumption
The boutique is located on Rhone-Deck. You will be able to purchase
accessories, film, suntan oil and other everyday articles

Dress should be casual during the day. A more formal attire is
appropriate for the evening; a jacket is recommended for gentlemen.
For two formal nights a dark suit for the gentlemen and cocktail
dresses for ladies are suggested. You will find further information
on this matter in the daily program on board.
The currency on board is the Euro. Traveler's checks, US Dollars
and Eurocheques will also be accepted for settlement of your final
account, as well as the following credit cards: American Express,
Diners Club, Eurocard/MasterCard and Visa.. From the beginning
of the cruise until the day before the cruise ends, you may sign
guest receipts for all purchases except boutique purchases. The
guest charges have to be paid on the last day at the reception

daily program for the next day is left in your cabin every evening.
The program includes events, dress recommendations, departure
times for excursions, arrival/ departure times for ports of call
as well as meal times.
Chairs, cushions and blankets are provided free of charge.
The cruise staff will be organizing activities. You will
find the appropriate details in the daily program.

Please contact the Maitre d' on the day of embarkation and advise
him about your requirements. Special requests should also be submitted
in writing to the cruise line at least 3 weeks prior to departure.
Safe deposit boxes are in your cabin.
220 Volt AC, 50 Hz. The bathrooms have outlets with 220 V and
50 Hz which are only to be used for electric razors. Other 220V
outlets are in the cabin. If you wish to use 110 V equipment,
a limited number of transformers are available at the reception.
There are also a limited number of hair dryers available which
can be obtained at the reception. Please remember to return borrowed
items before you leave the ship
There will be a musican on board for your entertainment. Additional
musical entertainment with local artists will be offered according
to the daily program
Currencies can be exchanged at the reception. Eurocheques and
traveller's cheques can also be cashed.
Both English and German are spoken on board.
We recommend that passengers bring enough film, batteries etc.
with them as such items are not always readily on board or in
the ports of call.
Games are available on board. Please ask at the reception. .
A small library with selected litrature is located on the Rhone-Deck.
You will find a price list in your cabin. Further information
can be obtained from your cabin steward(ess).
Found items are held at the reception.
Mail can be deposited at Reception and will be posted at the next
port of call.
Please make your table reservations with the maitre 'd upon embarkation.
Dining on board is single seating for all passengers. Please see
the daily program for exact meal times.
A ship's doctor will be on board; infirmary times can be found
in the daily program. Treatments are subject to fees which will
be charged according to German standards. Passengers under a doctor's
care or with pre-existing conditions (e. g. diabetes), or physical
impairment must inform the company prior to departure and register
with the doctor upon embarkation.
Passengers are responsible for bringing their prescription medication(s).
While on board, any illness should be reported to the resident
ship's doctor. A spare pair of glasses is recommended for persons
who require visual aids.
Located
on the Rhone Deck. Dining is single seating for all meals. Out
of consideration for all guests, smoking is prohibited in the
dining area.
Chairs, cushions and blankets are provided free of charge. Weather
permitting, drinks may also be served on the Sun-Deck.
Shore
excursions are offered at almost all ports of call. Please refer
to the pages 'Shore Excursions' for details.
There is a telephone in each cabin for intra-vessel calls. The
staff on duty at the reception will provide the necessary connections
for out-going calls depending on the ship's location.

In all cabins on the MV Katharina there are 5 music channels available.Every
cabin has a TV with 12 TV channels. More information can be found
inthe daily program.
In accordance with international standards, it is customary to
tip service staff. The amount is, of course, left up to each passenger's
discretion and should show appreciation of a job well done. For
budgeting purposes you might consider an amount of $10-12 per
passenger per day.
