Guidelines for guests with limited mobility
For
passengers who utilise a wheelchair onboard our vessels clients
must be partially mobile and in possession of a collapsible
wheelchair. It is important that clients travel on "C" Deck
on the Coral Princess I or II - (Stateroom accommodation)
to enable easier access to dining and bar facilities. The
wheelchair needs to be collapsible to allow entry into the
cabins as doorways on the vessels are narrower than an average
doorway. The main doors from the rear deck into the dining
area and further on from the dining area to the Staterooms
on the vessels, have an approximate 6 inch frame inside the
doorways. "C" Deck on the Coral Princess I
and II is where all activities originate. On both vessels
entry into the ensuites involves a step up of approximately
8 inches. A shower stool will be provided inside the
shower stall as the wheelchair will not fit inside the ensuites. For
a view of our vessels layouts please browse our website on
www.coralprincess.com.au
Clients will also need to consider the accessibility to certain
areas of the ship. The spa area and lounge is located
on A Deck on CPII with the observation lounge located on
B Deck and the spa located on A Deck for CPI . This
means that the clients are required to climb flights of stairs
to attend lectures and film presentations throughout the
cruise or to visit the bridge. Neither vessel has a lift
onboard.
In the event of evacuation, mobility will be required to
gain access to muster stations and life boats.
