SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day 01: USA-BEIJING
Overnight flights to China.

Day 02: ARRIVAL BEIJING
Arrive in China’s capital and transfer to your first class hotel. Meals are on your own today.

Day 03: BEIJING
Morning city tour to the Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Lunch is on your own. The evening is reserved for our special Peking Duck Dinner. (B, SD)

Day 04: BEIJING
This morning you will depart for an excursion to the Great Wall, where lunch will be served after the tour. On your way back you will visit the Jade factory. The balance of the afternoon is free. Tonight enjoy dinner followed by a Chinese Opera Performance. (B, L, D)

Day 05: BEIJING
Today we head to the old Hutong District of Beijing where you will enjoy a rickshaw-ride which will take you to visit a local Chinese family who will cook and share their lunch with you. After that pay a visit to the Silk Market. The rest of the day is at leisure and dinner is on your own. Optional Summer Palace and evening Folk Dance Dinner Show available. ($65pp) (B, L)

DAY 06: BEIJING-YICHANG
EMBARKATION (after 8:00 PM)
Fly to Yichang in the late morning. Upon arrival embark on a sightseeing tour of this Yangtze gateway city including lunch and dinner at local restaurants before embarking on your deluxe “floating hotel”. (B, L, D)

DAY 07: THREE GORGES DAM
After breakfast, enjoy your excursion to the Three Gorges Dam. Upon returning to the ship, set sail as you pass through the gigantic locks on your way through the first of the three large Gorges - the Xiling Gorge. Captain’s Welcome cocktail.(B, L, D)

DAY 08: SHENNONG STREAM/DANING RIVER
Pass through the Wu Gorge and enjoy a special treat: sail on small motorized sampans for an excursion along either the Shennong Stream or Daning River, both tributaries of the Yangtze. Here you will have the opportunity to view unique flora and fauna, the 1000 year old “hanging coffins” of the ancient Ba people and stop and visit local villages. In the afternoon continue sailing through the Qutang Gorge and enjoy our special Crew Revue after dinner! (B, L, D)

DAY 9: YANGTZE TOWNS
Today make a stop at either Shibaozhai or Fengdu, both typical Yangtze riverside towns where your tour will highlight all of the local attractions. Then, as you sail on, prepare for the Captain’s Farewell Dinner followed by the Talent Show.(B, L, D)

DAY 10: CHONGQING - XIAN
DISEMBARKATION (9:00 AM)
Arrive in Chongqing, where you disembark, and your China adventure continues by land. Stop at the Panda Exhibit and visit the “Great Hall” of Chinese paintings before flying to Xian. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Dinner is on your own tonight. (B, L)

DAY 11: XIAN
This exciting day will begin with a tour of the magnificent History Museum, where the 8000 Terra-Cotta Warriors of the emperor Qin have been buried for over 2000 years! You will have lunch at the museum and afterwards visit a lacquer factory. The evening is reserved for a fabulous Tang Dynasty dinner and show. (B, L, SD)

DAY 12: XIAN - GUILIN
Fly to Guilin in the morning, where upon arrival you will visit Elephant Trunk before checking into your first class hotel for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

DAY 13: GUILIN
Today you will sail down the magnificent Li River. On your way back to Guilin, visit a pearl workshop prior to enjoying dinner with a show at the Minority Performance Theater. (B, L, SD)

DAY 14: GUILIN- HONG KONG
Breakfast and check out of your hotel. Stop and tour the Reed Flute Cave followed by lunch at a local restaurant. Transfer to the airport and bid mainland China goodbye as you fly to Hong Kong. On arrival transfer to your delightful hotel. Dinner is on your own.(B, L)

DAY 15: HONG KONG
Your morning city tour will include Stanley Market, the Floating Village and a cable car ride up to Victoria’s Peak for stunning scenic views. The afternoon is free of any activities allowing time for last minute shopping or exploring the city on your own!(B)
