ITINERARY
Day 1:Arrive
from your overnight flights to China
Day 2: Arrival Beijing Arrive in
China’s capital and transfer to your
first class hotel. Meals are on your own today.
Day 3: Beijing Morning city tour of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City.
Lunch is on your own. The evening is reserved for your
special Peking Duck Dinner. (B, SD)
Day 4: Beijing This
morning depart for an excursion to the Great Wall, where lunch
will be served after the tour. On your way back you
will visit a jade factory. The balance of the afternoon
is free and dinner is on your own. Optional Peking Opera
in the evening (B, L)
Day 5: Beijing
Today we head to the old Hutong part of Beijing where you will
enjoy a rickshaw-ride and visit a local Chinese family who
will cook and share their lunch with you. After that we pay
a visit to the Silk Market. The rest of the day is at leisure,
dinner is on your own. Optional Summer Palace visit and evening
Folk Dance Dinner Show available (B, L)
Day 6: Beijing
- Yichang EMBARKATION
Fly to Yichang in the morning. Here, you spend the day with
lunch and dinner at local restaurants before embarking the
MS Victoria Empress. (B, L, D)
Day 7: Three
Gorges Dam
After breakfast, enjoy your excursion to the Three Gorges
Dam. Upon returning to the ship, set sail as you pass through
the
gigantic locks on your way through the first of the three large
Gorges - the Xiling Gorge. (B, L, D)
Day 8:Shennong Stream - Daning
River
Pass through the
Wu Gorge and enjoy a special treat: embark on small motorized
sampans for an excursion along either the
the Shennong Stream or Danning River, both tributaries of the
Yangtze. Here you will have the opportunity to view unique
flora and fauna, the 1000 year old “hanging coffins” of
the ancient Ba people and you will stop and visit local villages.
In the afternoon continue sailing through the Qutang Gorge
and enjoy our special Crew Revue after dinner! (B, L, D)
Day 9: Shibaozhai/Fengdu
Today make a stop
at either Shibaozhai or Fengdu, both typical Yangtze riverside
towns where your 3 hour tour will highlight
all of the local attractions. Then, as you sail on, prepare
for our Captain’s Farwell dinner followed by a Karaoke
party. (B, L, D)
Day 10: Chongqing - Xian DISEMBARKATION
Arrive in Chongqing, where you disembark, and your China adventure
continues by land. You stop at the Panda Exhibit and visit
the Artist Village before flying to Xian. On arrival, transfer
to your hotel. Dinner is on your own tonight. (B, L)
Day 11: Xian This exciting day will begin with a tour of the magnificent
History Museum, where the 8000 Terra-Cotta Warriors of
the Emperor Qi have been buried for over 2000 years! You
have lunch at the museum and afterwards visit a lacquer-ware
factory. The evening is reserved for a fabulous Tang Dynasty
dinner and show. (B, L, SD)
Day 12: Xian - Guilin
Fly to Guilin in the morning, where upon arrival you will visit
Fubo Hills and Elephant Trunk before checking into your first
class hotel for dinner and overnight. (B, D)
Day 13: Guilin
Today you will sail down the magnificent Li River. On your
way back to Guilin, visit a pearl workshop prior to enjoying
dinner with a show at the Minority Performance Theater. (B,
L, SD)
Day 14: Guilin - Guangzhou
After breakfast,
board your morning flight to China’s “window
to the west” Guangzhou. On arrival, enjoy a half day
tour of this bustling city including a visit to the memorial
complex of Dr. Sun-Yat- sen , known as the Father of China.
End the day with a special farewell dim-sum dinner at a local
restaurant. (B, D)
Day 15: Guangzhou - Home
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flights home
or extend your China adventure by taking the 3 hour hydrofoil
to Hong Kong (China services end with transfers to either
the airport or port terminal.)
