SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day 1:Arrive from your overnight flights to China
Day 2: Arrival Beijing
Arrive in China’s capital and transfer to your first class hotel. Meals are on your own today.


Day 3: Beijing
Morning city tour of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Lunch is on your own. The evening is reserved for your special Peking Duck Dinner. (B, SD)

Day 4: Beijing
This morning depart for an excursion to the Great Wall, where lunch will be served after the tour. On your way back you will visit a jade factory. The balance of the afternoon is free and dinner is on your own. Optional Peking Opera (B, L)
Day 5: Beijing - Yichang EMBARKATION
Fly to Yichang in the morning. Here, you spend the day with lunch and dinner at local restaurants before embarking the MS Victoria Empress. (B, L, D)


Day 6: Three Gorges Dam
Excursion to Three Gorges Dam. Upon returning to the ship, pass the gigantic locks of Three Gorges Dam and sail through the Xiling Gorge. In the evening enjoy a Crew fashion show! (B, L, D)


Day 7: Sampan Ride
Excursion to the Shennong Stream or Danning River in small motorized sampans. In the afternoon, pass through the Wu and Qutang Gorges. Crew Revue is on for tonight! (B, L, D)
Day 8:Yangtze Riverside Towns
Depending on sailing conditions, today you will stop and tour one of three typical Yangtze riverside towns – Shibaoszai, Fengdu or Wanxian. Your walking tours will highlight all the local attractions. Then its time to prepare for your Captain’s farewell dinner followed by our “wild” Karaoke party where passenger participation is expected! (B, L, D)

Day 9: Chongqing - Xian DISEMBARKATION
Bid your lovely ship goodbye, as you disembark and continue your China adventure with a stop at the Panda Zoo and a visit to the communal Artist Village. In the evening fly to Xian. Transfer to your hotel, dinner on your own. (B L)



Day 10:
Xian
This exciting day will begin with a tour of the magnificent History Museum, where the 8000 Terra-Cotta Warriors of Emperor Qi have been buried for over 2000 years! You have lunch at the museum and afterwards visit a lacquer-ware factory. The day will end with a fabulous Tang Dynasty dinner and show. (B, L, SD)

Day 11: Xian - Shanghai
Time permitting, Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda on the way to the airport before flying to Shanghai. In the afternoon, your sightseeing tour will include the Bund and Yu Yuan Gardens. Dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 12: Shanghai
Morning tour to the Jade Buddha Temple and a Mongolian style BBQ lunch. Afterwards you will visit the Children’s Palace, and you will have some time on your own before dinner, which will be followed by an Acrobatic Show. (B, SL, D)
Day 13: Shanghai - Home
As all good things must end, so does your China adventure. Transfer to the airport for your flights back home. (B)
