SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day 1:Arrive from your overnight flights to China
Day 2: Shanghai
Arrive PM and transfer to your deluxe hotel. Due to various arrival times, meals are on your own.

Day 3: Shanghai - Suzhou

Depart via train for China’s “Venice”, the City of Canals, where you will take a tour including a boat ride on the Grand Canal and Pan Men Gate. In the evening visit the Garden of “Master of the Nets” with special dinner and performance. (B, L, SD)

Day 4: Suzhou - Shanghai
Return to Shanghai via either train or bus and begin your sightseeing of Shanghai including the Bund, Yu Yuan Gardens and Nanjing Road. Tonight, dinner at a local restaurant will be followed by a performance of the famous Chinese Acrobats. (B, D)

Day 5:
Shanghai
Visit the Children’s Palace where gifted kids will perform for you! Tour the Jade Buddha Temple, enjoy a Mongolian style BBQ lunch, visit the impressive Shanghai Museum with Audio Guide and end the day with a dinner at a local restaurant. (B, SL, D)

Day 6: Shanghai - Wuhan
Mid-day flight to Wuhan. On arrival, your city tour includes stops at Mao’s Residence and the Museum of Ancient History. Dinner and overnight at your hotel. (B, D)

Day 7:
Wuhan– Yichang EMBARKATION
After breakfast, board your bus for a 3 hour ride through the rural China, where you will get a glimpse of the rice paddies and country Chinese life. On arrival in Shashi, enjoy a lunch at a local restaurant prior to visiting the unique History Museum - home to Mr. Sui – the 1000 year old mummy still preserved with most of his body parts intact. After some free time in the city, continue on to Yichang where you will board your deluxe floating hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 8:Three Gorges Dam
Begin the day with a tour of this massive wonder and then continue sailing through the wide Xiling Gorge and the mysterious Wu Gorge. Tonight enjoy the on board fashion show performed by your crew. (B, L, D)
Day 9: Lesser Gorges
Enjoy exploring the Lesser Gorges along the Shennong Stream or Danning River in small motorized sampans. (B, L, D)
Day 10: Yangtze Riverside Towns
Today explore Shibaozhai, Fengdu or Wanxian, typical riverside towns, where a tour will introduce you to the local attractions. The evening is reserved for our Captain’s Gala dinner followed by a Karaoke party! (B, L, D)
Day 11:Chongqing- Guilin DISEMBARKATION
Bid your ship goodbye as you disembark and continue with your China adventure. First we stop at the Panda Zoo and then it’s on to the unique Artist Village. After lunch at a local restaurant, stop and tour a silk factory on your way to the airport for your short flight to Guilin gateway to the Li River. Transfer to your hotel. Dinner is on your own. Day 12: Guilin - Yangshuo
The morning is reserved for a half-day cruise along the mystical Li River. Explore the bustling town of Yangshuo in the early afternoon. Here you will have dinner followed by the brand new “Impressions of the Third Sister Liu” light and dance show performed under the stars by the river. Overnight in Yangshuo. (B, L, D)
Day 13: Yangshuo - Guilin - Xian
Return to Guilin for sightseeing of the Reed Flute Cave and Elephant Trunk Hill. Then transfer to the airport for your flight to Xian in the afternoon. On arrival transfer to your deluxe hotel. Dinner tonight is on your own. (B, L)

Day 14: Xian
Tour the magnificent Terra Cotta Museum where over 8000 life sized warriors have stood guard for the last 2000 years. Enjoy a cooked to order lunch at the museum restaurant. Stop at a lacquer-ware factory on your way back to the hotel. The evening is reserved for a special dinner and the fabulous Tang Dynasty show. (B, L, SD)

Day 15: Xian - Beijing
Mid-morning flight to Beijing. On arrival, stop to tour the unique Temple of Heaven then continue to your deluxe hotel for check-in. Tonight, enjoy a welcome Peking Duck dinner followed by a performance of the Chinese Opera. (B, SD)
Day 16: Beijing
Morning sightseeing of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden Palace. From there continue to the old Hutong part of Beijing where you will enjoy a bicycle rickshaw-ride and visit a local Chinese family who will cook and share their lunch with you. Return to your hotel for an evening at leisure. Dinner is on your own. (B, SL)

Day 17: Beijing
Morning excursion to the Great Wall, where lunch will be served. Then visit a local Kung Fu* school where students will stage a performance for you featuring the techniques of this ancient martial art. Tonight’s dinner will be at a popular local restaurant (B, L, SD) *When closed Kung Fu school will be substituted with a Kung Fu Theater performance in the evening.
Day 18: Beijing
Today’s sightseeing of the Summer Palace will include a short boat ride. The tour portion of the day will end at Tiananmen Square and the remaining balance of the day will be free. Explore Beijing on your own, or join your guide for an impromptu visit to a local marketplace (Silk Alley or similar) where you will be able to bargain for those last minute souvenirs and gifts. (B)
Day 19: Beijing - Home
Transfer to the airport for your flight home. (B)
