SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day 1: BEIJING
Arrive in the evening and transfer to your 5* hotel. Due to various arrival times, meals are on your own.

Day 2: BEIJING
Your morning sightseeing includes Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden Palace. From there continue to the old Hutong part of Beijing where you will enjoy a bicycle rickshaw ride and visit a local Chinese family who will cook and share their lunch with you. Then visit the Temple of Heaven. End the day with a dinner at a local restaurant prior to returning to your hotel for overnight. (B, SL, D)

Day 3: BEIJING
Today, visit one of the modern wonders of world: the Great Wall of China! After lunch at the wall, visit a local Kung Fu* school where students will stage a performance for you featuring the techniques of this ancient martial art. Tonight’s dinner will be at a popular local minority restaurant *When closed, Kung Fu school will be substituted with a Kung Fu Theater performance in the evening. (B, SL, D)

Day 4: BEIJING
Today’s sightseeing of the Summer Palace will include a short boat ride. The included tour portion of the day will end at Tiananmen Square and the balance of the day will be free. Lunch is on own. Explore Beijing on your own, or join your guide for an impromptu visit to a local marketplace (Silk Alley or similar). The evening is reserved for a classic Peking Duck Dinner followed by a performance of the unique Chinese Opera. (B, SD)

Day 5: BEIJING - WUHAN
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Wuhan. A snack will be served on the plane. On arrival, your sightseeing of this city located on the confluence of 3 rivers will include Mao Tze Tung’s Residence and the Ancient History museum where you will enjoy a short unique concert performed on 1000 year old bells! Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at your deluxe hotel. (B, D)

Day 6: WUHAN-YICHANG-CRUISE EMBARKATION
After breakfast, board your bus for a 3 hour ride through rural China, where you will get a glimpse of the rice paddies and authentic country life. On arrival in Shashi, enjoy a lunch at a local restaurant prior to visiting the unique History Museum, home to Mr. Sui, the 1000 year old mummy still preserved with most of his body parts intact! After some free time in the city, continue on to Yichang where after dinner at a local restaurant, you will board your deluxe “floating hotel” for the start of your Yangtze adventure! (B, L, D)

Day 7: CRUISE: THREE GORGES DAM
Begin the day with a tour of this massive wonder and then continue sailing through the wide Xiling Gorge and the mysterious Wu Gorge. Tonight enjoy the Captain’s Welcome cocktail followed by an on board fashion show performed by your crew. (B, L,D)

Day 8: CRUISE: LESSER GORGES AND SAMPAN
Enjoy exploring the Lesser Gorges along the Shennong Stream or Danning River by small motorized sampans. Here you will see unique flora and fauna, the hanging coffins of the ancient BA people and visit local minority villages. In the afternoon sail through the mythical Wu and the churning Qutang Gorges. A Crew Revue is scheduled for tonight! (B, L, D)

Day 9: CRUISE: YANGTZE RIVERTOWNS
Today explore Shibaozhai or Fengdu, typical riverside towns, where a tour will introduce you to all the local attractions. The evening is reserved for our Captain’s Gala Dinner followed by a Karaoke party! (B, L, D)

Day 10: END CRUISE-CHONGQING-XIAN DISEMBARKATION
Bid your ship goodbye as you disembark and continue with your China adventure. First stop is at the Panda Zoo followed by the local communal Artist Village. After lunch at a local restaurant, tour a silk factory on your way to the airport for your short flight to Xian where after check-in, dinner will be on your own. (B, D)

Day 11: XIAN
Tour the magnificent Terra Cotta Museum where over 8000 life sized warriors have stood guard for the last 2000 years! Then enjoy a cooked to order lunch at the museum restaurant. Stop at a lacquer-ware factory on your way back to the hotel. The evening is reserved for a special dinner and the fabulous Tang Dynasty show. (B, L, SD)

Day 12: XIAN-GUILIN
After a leisurely breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Guilin, the gateway to the mythical Li River. Snack on plane. On arrival check in to your hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight. (B, D)

Day 13: GUILIN- LI RIVER SAILING -YANGSHUO
The morning is reserved for a half-day cruise along the beautiful, mystical Li River. Explore the bustling town of Yangshuo in the early afternoon. Here you will have dinner followed by the brand new “Impressions of the Third Sister Liu” light and dance show performed under the stars by the river. Overnight. (B, L, D)

Day 14: GUILIN - SHANGHAI
After breakfast, transfer to Guilin airport for your flight to Shanghai. Snack served on the plane. On arrival, transfer to your deluxe hotel. Dinner tonight will be at a popular local restaurant. (B, SD)

Day 15: SHANGHAI .
Begin your sightseeing of this skyscraper city by touring the Bund, Yu Yuan Gardens, and Nanjing Road. Return to your hotel for a short rest. Lunch is on own. In the evening, enjoy an early dinner at a local restaurant followed by an amazing performance of the fabulous Chinese Acrobats. (B, D)

Day 16: SHANGHAI-SUZHOU
Depart via bus/train for China’s “Venice”, the City of Canals, Suzhou, where you will take a tour including a boat ride on the Grand Canal and Pan Men Gate. In the evening visit the “Garden of Master of the Nets” with a special dinner and performance. Overnight. (B, L, SD)

Day 17: SUZHOU - SHANGHAI
Return to Shanghai in the morning and continue sightseeing with a visit to the Children’s Palace where talented kids will perform for you. Continue to the Jade Buddha Temple, stop for a classic Mongolian style BBQ lunch, tour the impressive Shanghai Museum with Audio Guide and end the day with a dinner at a local restaurant. (B, SL, D)

Day 18: SHANGHAI-HOME
End of Cruise.
