ITINERARY
DAY 01 (TH): FLY USA TO EGYPT
Overnight flights from the US to Egypt…
DAY 02 (FR): ARRIVE CAIRO
On arrival, meet your local guide upon clearing customs formalities.
Then transfer to your first class hotel. The balance of the day
is free until your evening welcome dinner where you will meet
the members of your group and your Egyptologist. (D)
DAY 03 (SA): CAIRO
After breakfast, enjoy full day tour of the Pyramids. First stop
is at Giza to view the ancient monuments built by King Cheops,
his son and grandson 2690 B.C., After a break for lunch (included)
and a visit to the Papyrus Museum, continue on to Saqqara and
Memphis to view the “one step” Pyramid built by famous
architect and physician Imhotep for the Pharaoh Zoser in 3816
B.C. Return to your hotel with the balance of the day free to
enjoy your hotel amenities. Dinner is on your own. (B, L)
DAY 04 (SU): CAIRO - LUXOR
Leisurely morning for breakfast and check-out as you head out for
your flight to Luxor, the gateway to Upper Egypt and the magnificent
Nile! On arrival, transfer to your hotel for check-in. In the
afternoon, its time to explore the East Bank and the fabulous
Luxor and Karnak Temples. Dinner and overnight. (B, D)
DAY 05 (MO): LUXOR
EMBARKATION
After breakfast, check-out of your hotel and embark on your tour
of the West bank, the “Valley of the Kings and Queens” where
64 of Egypt’s Pharaohs have their resting places. Continue
to visit the palatial Temple of Queen Hatchepsut and stop at the
Collossi of Memnon. Then, transfer directly to your 5 * ship for
check-in. Lunch on board. The afternoon is free for you to explore
your floating hotel or the vibrant markets located dock-side. An
evening welcome drink will precede dinner. (B, L, D)
DAY 06 (TU): ESNA LOCK
A fabulous day on board as you sail down theNile and through the
Esna Lock. On board lectures and other activities will be available
on board – or just sit back on the sun deck with a cool
drink and enjoy the passing vistas. This evening after dinner
participate in a galabaya (toga) party with belly dance show!

DAY 07 (WE): EDFU - KOM OMBO
Your first stop will be at Edfu, where a carriage ride will take
you to the superbly preserved Temple of Horus dedicated to the
Falcon God. Return to the ship for lunch and sail on to Kom Ombo.
On arrival, tour the Temples of Kom Ombo dedicated to two deities;
the crocodile headed “Sobek” and the “Haroeris” the
double headed sparrow/hawk. Return on board for dinner and you
sail to Aswan. (B, L, D)
DAY 08 (TH): ASWAN
After breakfast, begin your exploration of gorgeous Aswan with
a tour of the Unfinished Obelisk, the Philae Temple, the High
Dam, ending with a delightful sail aboard the local feluccas.
Return to your ship for lunch. The afternoon is free to explore
Aswan’s many markets or to take an optional tour to the
Nubian Village. Tonight enjoy your special Captain’s farewell

DAY
09 (FR): ASWAN – CAIRO
DISEMBARKATION
The morning is free to give you time to explore Aswan or to take
the optional air excursion to the fantastic Temples of Abu Simbel.
Then bid your crew goodbye as you transfer to the airport for your
flight back to Cairo. On arrival, transfer to your centrally located
downtown hotel and prepare for a special treat – a home hosted
dinner with an authentic Egyptian family where you can exchange
views with your hosts, enjoy home cooked food and unique Egyptian
hospitality! (B, SD)
DAY 10 (SA): CAIRO
After breakfast, depart on your morning tour of Islamic Cairo with
stops at Citadel and the magnificent Alabaster Mosque built by
Mohamed Ali in 1830.Stop for lunch at Al Azhar park offering
glorious views of the Citadel. Then transfer to the humongous
El Khalili Bazaar where over 1000 booths offer everything from
cheap souvenirs to high end jewelry, fashion and where bargaining
is expected! Here you will have an afternoon to explore the local
café’s, coffee houses, shop ‘till you drop
and enjoy your day at your own pace. Dinner is on your own allowing
you to experience any one of Cairo’s numerous restaurants.

DAY 11 (SU): CAIRO
After breakfast, your morning sightseeing will begin with a tour
of the fabulous Egyptian Museum, home to the world renowned exhibit
of Tut-Ankhamnon. After a break for lunch (on own) continue with
a panoramic city tour of the Old Cairo highlighted by stops at
the Abu Sirga Church, the Moalaka Church and the Ben Azra Synagogue.
The evening is reserved for a special farewell Egyptian themed
dinner held at a popular local restaurant. (B, SD)
DAY
12 (MO): CAIRO – HOME
As all good things must come to an end.
