ITINERARY
Day 1:Today, fly to Egypt
Day 2: Cairo Meet your local guide who will assist you
through customs formalities. Then transfer to your deluxe downtown
hotel. Due to various arrival times no meals or activities
are planned for today.
Day 3: Cairo After breakfast,
your morning sightseeing of Egypt’s
capital will begin with a panoramic tour of this magnificent
city set around the banks of the Nile. Stops will be made to
view the Citadel and the fabulous Alabaster Mosque built by
Mohamed Ali in 1830. Return to your hotel to avoid the heat
and catch up on jet lag. Tonight depart for a welcome dinner
which will be held at the private, members only Capital Club
featuring great food, and magnificent views of the city at
night. Return to your hotel for overnight. (B, SD)
Day 4: Cairo A full
day to explore the Pyramids of Giza and Memphis. In the morning
tour the pyramids of King Cheops built 2690
B.C., the Sphinx and ride a camel (optional). After a break
for lunch continue the tour with a visit to Sakkara to view
the “one step” Pyramid built by famous architect
and physician Imhotep for the Pharaoh Zoser in 3816 B.C. Return
to your hotel. Dinner is on your own. (B, L)
Day 5: Cairo - Luxor
EMBARKATION
After breakfast, check-out of your hotel and begin the day
with a tour of the magnificent Egyptian Museum, home to the
world renowned exhibit of Tut-An - Khamnon. After a leisurely
lunch at a local restaurant, continue on to the airport for
your afternoon flight to Luxor, the gateway to the Nile. On
arrival, transfer to your deluxe floating hotel. A welcome
cocktail will precede dinner. (B, L, D)
Day 6: Luxor - Edfu
The morning is reserved for an excursion to the west bank and
the famous “Valley of the Kings”. Here, 64
of Egypt’s ancient Pharaohs were buried including
famous names such as Ramses II, Amhotep and Tut-an-Khamnon.
After exploring the tombs, continue to see the magnificent
Temple of Queen Hatchepsut. Your final stop will be for
picture taking along the Collossi of Memnon. Return to
your ship for lunch. In the afternoon enjoy on board activities
as you set sail for Edfu. (B, L, D)
Day 7: Edfu - Kombo-Ombo - Aswan
In Edfu, tour the superbly preserved Temple of Horus dedicated
to the Falcon God. Lunch on board as you continue sailing.
On arrival to Kom Ombo take a carriage ride to the Temples
of Kom Ombo dedicated to two deities; the crocodile headed “Sobek” and
the “Haroeris” the double headed sparrow/hawk.
Back on board enjoy dinner and a galabaya party as you
sail on to Aswan. (B, L, D)
Day 8:Aswan
Your morning sightseeing
will include the “Unfinished
Obelisk” and a visit to the High Dam. Lunch back on the
ship. In the afternoon, visit the Philae Temple followed by
a felucca ride to the botanical gardens located on Elephantine
Island in the middle of the Nile. Return to your ship for dinner
and an oriental show! (B, L, D)
Day 9: Aswan
This morning prepare
for a special treat – your included
excursion to the fabulous Temples of Abu Simbel! More than
32 centuries ago, Ramses II built 2 temples into the sheer
rock of a premonitory in Nubia 280 km south of Aswan. The larger
Temple was dedicated to the God of Sun – Harakhti. The
lesser Temple was dedicated to the Goddess Hathor in the name
of Ramses’ favorite wife – the beautiful Queen
Nefertari. When the construction of the High Dam threatened
to submerge the two Temples, through international efforts
and under the auspices of UNESCO, the Temples were cut into
30 ton pieces, moved 70 meters higher and 180 meters further
inland and rebuilt to their original splendor. The tour of
these unique temples includes a 30 minute plane ride from Aswan
and back offering stunning aerial views of the Temples and
the flowing Nile. After your flight back to Aswan, re-board
your deluxe floating hotel and enjoy lunch and a relaxing afternoon
as you sail upstream to Esna. Overnight at the lock. (B, L,

Day 10: Esna - Luxor Delight
in magnificent views, take a dip in the pool or participate in
on board activities and lectures
as you sail the morning to Luxor. After arrival and lunch on
board, the afternoon is reserved for sightseeing of the East
Bank and the magnificent Karnak and Luxor Temples. Dinner back
on board with an optional “Sound and Light” show
at Karnak Temple available for purchase on board. (B, L, D)
Day 11: Luxor - Quena - Luxor Enjoy
mesmerizing views and an al fresco breakfast buffet on the
sun deck as you sail towards Quena. On arrival depart via motorcoach
to visit the famous Temple of Dendara, dedicated to “Hator” the
mother of all gods and whose birth temple of Nectanebo is the
most ancient monument of its kind in all of Egypt. Return to
your ship for lunch and enjoy the passing vistas as you sail
back towards Luxor. Tonight get ready for our Captain’s

Day 12: Luxor - Cairo DISEMBARKATION
After a leisurely breakfast, bid your lovely ship and crew goodbye
as you check-out and transfer to the airport for your flight
back to Cairo. On arrival, transfer to your deluxe hotel with
the afternoon free for some rest time. Then a special treat awaits
as you head out to meet with an authentic Egyptian family for
a home hosted dinner! A great way to experience genuine Egyptian

Day 13: Cairo After breakfast,
depart on your morning tour of the Old Cairo highlighted by stops
at the Abu Sirga Church, the Moalaka
Church and the Ben Azra Synagogue. After lunch at a local restaurant
transfer to the humongous El Khalili Bazaar where over 1000 booths
offer everything from cheap souvenirs to high end jewelry and
fashion and where bargaining is expected! A great afternoon to
enjoy the sights sounds and smells of real Cairo at your leisure!
Tonight is reserved for a fabulous farewell to Egypt as you board
the elegant restaurant/yacht, the “Marquise” where
you will enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner, belly dance show
and superb views of the Nile and the city lights as you glide
through the heart of Cairo. (B, L, SD)
Day 14: Cairo - Home As all good
things must come to an end, so does your Egypt adventure as you
transfer to the airport for your flights
home – or complete your fantastic Egyptian experience with
our superb Alexandria or Petra extensions! (B)
