TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION/VISAS:
All passengers must have passports valid for six months following disembarkation and necessary visas when boarding. Passengers are advised to check with their Travel Agent or the U.S. Consulate Service to determine which
documents they must obtain. If incorrect documents are obtained, passengers will be unable to participate in particular shore excursions and may be denied boarding and/or entry into certain countries. Visa kits from an independent third party are provided upon request as a service to passengers selecting Russia destinations. Note: Due to airline security measures, your passport name must match your airline ticket name or you may be denied boarding. Viking River Cruises accepts no responsibility for obtaining required visas nor for advising guests of visa or other immigration requirements.

CHILDREN / MINORS:

Due to the nature of our cruise itineraries, Viking River Cruises does not maintain facilities or services for children aboard River Cruise Vessels. On all cruises and cruise journeys, minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied and share a cabin with a parent, legal guardian or other responsible adult over the age of 21. We regret that we cannot accommodate children under 12 years of age, and we reserve the right to limit the number of minors under the age of 18 years on board.

DISABLED PASSENGERS:
Guests who have any medical, physical or other special needs must contact us, to obtain our Policy Statement. All vessels and motorcoaches are equipped to European standards. Vessel operators will, under appropriate circumstances, permit its passengers to use motorized scooters and wheelchairs which satisfy the criteria stated in the Policy Statement, based upon a full understanding and appreciation by its passengers and their companions that the vessels do not have elevators which would permit easy access from deck to deck and that some decks are multi-level or contain significant thresholds. Acordingly, a physically challenged passenger will require the services of a responsible adult since crew availability is severely limited in most circumstances.
TIPS: It is customary to give cruise gratuities, subject to your satisfaction of services rendered. Gratuities on board and on land are not included in your tour price. Please read Policy Statement below

Policy Statement: Guests with Special Needs
While we welcome guests with special needs on the great majority of our river cruises, we are advised by the owners and operators of the China river cruise vessels that water transportation, as well as schedules and activities, are subject to change depending upon changing water levels, port accessibility and weather conditions. Ships and destinations in China generally do not have facilities to accommodate wheelchairs or physically challenged passengers. Embarkation and disembarkation facilities are extremely steep and impossible to navigate with wheelchairs, scooters or any other mechanical devices Additionally, shore excursions may include walks of up to one to two miles over steps and uneven ground, which are also not wheelchair-accessible. For your safety and enjoyment, we recommend that all passengers be in good physical condition, so that you may participate, enjoy and benefit from all tours and shore excursions, as well as the cruise experience.

As required by the Terms and Conditions of our Ticket/Contract and as a matter of consideration for all concerned, Guests must advise us of any physical, emotional or mental conditions which may require special attention or medication on board our ships. In that regard, when at the time of booking a Guest indicates that he or she may have such a condition, a fitness for travel letter will be sent to the Guest. In order for his or her circumstances to be considered fully, the appropriate information must be returned within two weeks of receipt. It will then determine whether the Guest’s needs can be accommodated, and if so how best to achieve such accommodation, based upon the information provided.

Consideration will be given as to the individual’s condition and the obligations and abilities to assure the safety of the vessel and all of its passengers, including the guest, as well as crew members and staff. If the Guest does not inform the Reservations Department of his or her condition in a timely or in a complete fashion, Viking River Cruises will not be able to consider these matters and may be required to deny passage under such circumstances. Viking River Cruises reserves the right to deny boarding at any time if, in our sole estimation, we feel the carriage of any particular guest places the guest, ship, other guests or the crew at risk.

Our cruises and cruisetours are itinerary-intensive experiences, offering access to a wide variety of foreign ports. Our ships are designed and built in China in accordance with Chinese shipbuilding regulations and international operating standards, and sail exclusively within foreign waters. Additionally, we do not operate the shore tours available at the foreign ports of call. Thus, the responsibility for providing assistance to Guests who elect to participate in tours on shore is solely that of each independent tour operator. We cannot provide assurance of their ability to accommodate each guest’s special needs.
